Your privacy is important to Toast Design Studio, LLC (“Toast”).

By visiting and using this website or any Toast-managed platforms (defined below), you agree and consent to the following Privacy Policy governing the collection and use of personally identifiable and other information by Toast.

Toast may collect information from you when you voluntarily sign up for e-mails or free information, register for a class or presentation, leave comments on this website or any related website or forum hosted on any platform by Toast (including but not limited to any Toast group or subgroup on Facebook.com or private Slack.com channels) (“Toast-managed platforms”), order a service or product, fill out any type of form, access private membership pages, or otherwise contact Toast via an online form or e-mail. The information collected may include your name, e-mail, address, phone number, and/or billing information. You are not required, however, to provide any personally identifiable information to merely access or visit this website.

Toast collects such information in order to send e-mails, fulfill orders, deliver services and products, complete customer transactions, oversee contests and promotions and improve website performance and customer service.

Members of the Toast team have limited access to information that you provide us, such as your enrolled courses, course progress, and username / email address, and order history. However, they do not have access to credit card information or passwords.

If you want to unsubscribe from receiving e-mails from Toast, you may do so at any time. Each e-mail from Toast includes instructions for unsubscribing from these e-mail communications.

Toast may collect domain information and “cookies” (small files saved on your hard drive by your web browser) to analyze website and advertisement performance, track user patterns, save information from your previous visits and customize your experience. Toast or its third-party vendors may collect nonpersonal information through the use of these technologies.

Third-party vendors include:

  • Squarespace – as our website host, commenting platform, newsletter provider, and main communication tool, records name, email, location, and tracks history of emails opened and links clicked so we can send you information that pertains to you and what you’re interested in, and enables user-created comments for articles/posts on our website

  • Google Analytics and Squarespace – as our data processors so we can track how users interact with and find our website to create the best online experience possible

Nonpersonal information might include the browser you use, the type of computer you use and technical information about your means of connection to Toast such as the operating systems and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information. Toast’s systems may also automatically gather information about the areas you visit and search terms you use on Toast-managed platforms and about the links you may select from within Toast-managed platforms to other areas of the Internet.

Toast respects your privacy and will never sell, trade or transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent. However, Toast may choose to release personal information to enforce its Terms and Conditions, manage its business, protect users or the general public, or to otherwise comply with legal obligations.

If you give Toast your permission, it may also use personal identification information for internal or external marketing and promotional purposes.

On occasion, Toast may collect personal identification information from you in connection with optional contests, special offers or promotions. Toast will share such information with necessary third parties for the purpose of carrying out the contest, special offer or promotion. Your participation in the contest, special offer or promotion constitutes your consent to such disclosure and use of such information.

Through a third-party service, Squarespace, the Toast website gives you the option to post comments on select content, such as blog posts. Any information that you use to post a comment – which may include personal data such as your name and email address – is stored and maintained by Squarespace. Toast is limited to comment moderation abilities only and has no control over comment related data. Any questions or concerns regarding data collected by Squarespace should be referred to Squarespace Customer Care.

Any comments or materials that you post on Toast-managed platforms become public and are subject to the Terms and Conditions.

You may see advertising or other content on Toast-managed platforms that links to the sites and services of Toast’s partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors or other third parties. Any products or services reached through a third-party link are subject to separate privacy policies. Toast is not responsible for or liable for any content on or actions taken by such third-party websites.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Toast-managed platforms and any products and services offered on any Toast-managed platforms are not intended for persons under the age of 13. Toast does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age. Toast prohibits children under the age of 13 from using all interactive portions of Toast-managed platforms, including leaving any comments. Toast will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If Toast learns it has any information or content from anyone under the age of 13, it will delete that information.

This Privacy Policy applies only to Toast’s online activity. It does not apply to information collected or used from other offline sources such as information collected at events or conferences.

Toast-managed platforms are operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide will be transferred to the United States. By using Toast-managed platforms, participating in any of Toast’s services and/or providing your information, you consent to this transfer.
